The world today begins with me and ends with I

Ever wondered why words such as ideas, innovations and inventions all begin with I and not we?

‘I’ am the Malala who stood for my rights to education, ‘I’ am the Steve Jobs who brought the Iphone, Ipad to this world, even though, ‘I’ got fired from my very own organization, and ‘I’ am that Poorna who thought the unthinkable and scaled mount Everest, because ‘I’ am that blank canvas and ‘I’ myself am those colours I have got to paint it with.

My world truly begins with me and ends with I. I make my own rules, I define create my own challenges, I set my own boundaries, I create my own goals, because my competition is not with somebody else, it is with myself. I am not going to follow others or pull them down, I am planning to test my own limitations and break my own boundaries. I strongly believe that my existence on this planet, this city, this school, today is for a reason.

Its none other but I who is responsible for me, it is I who gives me the strength to face the unknown, it is I who helps me to break free from the shackles of societal norms, it is I who decides my present, my past and my future.

So, until history remains history and not their story, not only the world, but the planet and I would say the Universe begins and ends with me.

Thank you for the encouragement ma’am, and because of our holiday homework (and the recent George Floyd incident), I have another blog post- my critical analysis of To Kill a Mockingbird.
